Data science and machine learning
Hands-on modelling, not just oversight: forecasting, classification, speech recognition, and explainable AI, with the evaluation discipline to know whether a model is actually working. I have trained and shipped models from transformer fine-tuning to stacked ensembles.
AI engineering
LLM-based products that hold up in production: retrieval, agents and tool use, fine-tuning data pipelines, and human evaluation, built on cloud infrastructure with proper deployment and monitoring.
Engineering leadership
Hiring and leading engineers, data scientists, and annotators; setting roadmaps and technical priorities; and introducing delivery practices that make work predictable. I have taken one company from prototype to trade sale.
Governance, risk, and compliance
Building systems that regulated buyers can say yes to: safeguarding and governance for AI used with children, NHS-facing products handling clinical data, and roadmaps that clear the compliance barriers blocking enterprise sales in financial services.
Health technology
Clinical AI from research to deployment: speech recognition for children with speech disorders, clinical documentation tools used by NHS therapists, explainable AI for dementia diagnosis, and women’s reproductive health.
Enterprise sales
Supporting founders in the room with technical buyers: translating architecture into answers to security, data, and procurement questions, and turning what enterprise customers need into engineering plans.

Preparing a women’s reproductive health app, built in React Native on a Supabase backend, for production release. My support includes hiring, architecture gap analysis, engineering management, and hands-on engineering.

An early-stage payments company. I identified the architectural and regulatory-compliance barriers blocking enterprise sales in a regulated financial market, wrote the roadmap to clear them, and support the founder in enterprise sales.
Martee AI
Machine Learning Engineer,

Demand forecasting for food retail, at the level of each product in each store on each day, driving ordering and inventory where the cost of error is either lost sales or waste. The pilot I supported delivering for Martee reduced waste by > 40% and increased sales by 5%.
Fam Studio

Built the backend for an AI-native application that automates the creation of workshop materials: agent-based generation with retrieval, tooling to turn human-authored examples into fine-tuning data, and human-rating workflows for evaluation.
Before consulting, I was co-founder and CTO of two applied-AI companies, Ogma Therapy and Texture AI.
